Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 31 August 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Scribenet services and form an agreement between you and Techscribe Nexus Dynamics ("Scribenet", "we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account, purchasing a plan, connecting to the Scribenet network, or using any Scribenet service, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Scribenet

Scribenet is a locally built internet service that provides wireless internet access within its coverage areas.

Customers access Scribenet through an active plan associated with their account or through a valid voucher.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Scribenet plans provide access for a specified period of time rather than a fixed quantity of data.

2. Coverage area

Scribenet services are currently available within Malete, Kwara State.

Coverage maps, availability notices, and service area descriptions are provided for guidance only and may change as the network expands or is upgraded.

It is your responsibility to confirm that you are within the coverage area before purchasing a plan.

Purchasing a plan does not guarantee coverage outside areas where Scribenet currently operates.

3. Accounts

Some Scribenet services require a customer account.

When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs through your account.

Accounts that remain inactive for extended periods may be removed from our systems.

Users under the age of 18 may use Scribenet with the knowledge and permission of a parent or legal guardian.

4. Plans and subscriptions

Plans, pricing, durations, and included features are displayed at the time of purchase.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Plans are time-based.
  • Access expires automatically when the purchased period ends.
  • Unused time does not roll over.
  • Expired plans cannot be reactivated.

Scribenet may introduce additional plan types from time to time.

5. Payments

Payments are processed through Paystack.

A plan becomes active only after successful payment confirmation.

Customers are responsible for ensuring payment information is correct before completing a purchase.

Any payment issue must be reported within seven (7) days of the transaction date.

6. Vouchers

Scribenet may issue vouchers that grant access to the network.

Voucher codes should be treated as confidential. Anyone with access to a voucher code may be able to use it. Scribenet is not responsible for unauthorized use of a voucher that has been shared, disclosed, or otherwise exposed by the customer.

Voucher codes:

  • Are valid only for the period specified.
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Cannot be resold.
  • Expire automatically when their validity period ends.

7. Business accounts and customer access vouchers

Business plans may include promotional vouchers that can be distributed to customers. Customer Access Vouchers:

  • Are intended solely for customer distribution.
  • May not be sold or resold.
  • Expire automatically according to the business plan rules.
  • May regenerate periodically as described within the business dashboard.

Scribenet reserves the right to suspend business account features where vouchers are misused, distributed improperly, or used in violation of these Terms.

8. Fair use policy

Scribenet is designed to provide a reliable experience for all users. You may use the service for any lawful purpose, provided your use does not negatively affect the network or other users. You must not:

  • Use the service for unlawful activities.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or networks.
  • Distribute malware, malicious software, or harmful code.
  • Interfere with network operations.
  • Circumvent technical restrictions or access controls.
  • Share, sell, or redistribute network access except where expressly permitted.

Because the network is shared, Scribenet may manage traffic during periods of congestion to maintain service quality for all users. This may include prioritizing certain traffic types, temporarily reducing speeds for unusually excessive usage, or implementing other reasonable network management measures.

9. Service availability

We work to provide a stable and reliable service. However, Scribenet does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Service interruptions may occur due to:

  • Planned maintenance.
  • Power outages.
  • Equipment failures.
  • Weather conditions.
  • Upstream provider issues.
  • Technical faults.
  • Other events beyond our reasonable control.

Where practical, we will provide advance notice of planned maintenance.

10. Speeds and performance

Internet speeds may vary based on:

  • Your selected plan.
  • Signal strength.
  • Distance from network equipment.
  • Device capability.
  • Network congestion.
  • Environmental conditions.

Any advertised speed represents an expected or maximum service level and should not be interpreted as a guaranteed speed at all times.

11. Residential installations

Where Scribenet introduces residential installation services, those services may be governed by separate installation agreements and service-specific terms.

12. Refund policy

Refunds may be provided where a Scribenet error prevents a customer from receiving the service they purchased. Refunds may be issued as a payment reversal, account credit, replacement plan, or another reasonable remedy determined by Scribenet.

Refunds are generally not available:

  • Where a plan has been used, even partially.
  • Where the customer purchased a plan outside the Scribenet coverage area.
  • Where service issues arise from customer devices or local equipment.
  • Where the customer violates these Terms.

13. Suspension and termination

Scribenet may suspend or terminate access where:

  • These Terms are violated.
  • Fraud or abuse is suspected.
  • Network security is threatened.
  • Access is required to be restricted by law or regulatory instruction.

Where reasonable, we will notify affected customers before or shortly after taking action.

14. Limitation of liability

Scribenet will take reasonable care in providing its services. However, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from service interruptions, reduced speeds, equipment failures, or temporary network unavailability. This includes loss of income, loss of business opportunities, loss of data, or missed deadlines.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Nigerian law.

15. Force majeure

Scribenet is not responsible for failures or delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. These may include:

  • Power failures.
  • Natural disasters.
  • Severe weather.
  • Civil unrest.
  • Government actions.
  • Acts of vandalism or theft.
  • Failures of upstream providers.
  • Network infrastructure damage.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will become effective when published on the Scribenet website or customer portal.

The date at the top of this document indicates when these Terms were last updated.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute relating to Scribenet services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Nigeria.
